Baseball Queensland is pleased to promote our U15 Female Development Program. Our aim is to help upskill, encourage and engage our youth aged female players. This program is open for all players who fit the category.
The program will run from the 8th of August until the 12th of September. Sessions will be held on Saturday’s from 2 pm – 4 pm at Bannister Park (Gerler Rd, Hendra.)

The City of Gold Coast recognises the crucial role that the not for profit sector plays in providing sustainable services for our community. In acknowledgement of the impacts of COVID-19 on our Gold Coast community, Council recently approved a Community and Business Support Package. Covid-19 Community Grant Package
As part of the 2020-21 Budget adopted this week, Council committed $1.5 million in funding through the following two (2) grant programs:
Community Organisation Hardship Grant Program
$500-$5000 is available to local community groups who deliver essential services to our most vulnerable residents impacted by Covid-19. Organisations may be experiencing financial hardship as a result of Covid-19, or seeking to establish alternate service delivery models for business continuity. Grant opened on Monday 22 June and closes on Friday 31 July 2020
Recovery Grant Program
$500-$5000 will be available to local community and sporting groups whose operations have been affected by Covid-19. The purpose of this grant program is to ease the pressure being experienced and to assist groups to re-establish operations and activities. Grant opens on Wednesday 1 July and closes on Friday 31 July 2020
Waiver of 2020 Right of Use Fees
Waiver hire fees for sports facilities. As such we will be waiving your organisation’s 2020 Right of Use fees.
Waiver of 2020/21 Lease Fees
Rent relief for twelve months for organisations leasing a Council community facility or community centre. As such we will be waiving your organisation’s rent fees for the 2020-21 financial year.

Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance is offering free training for the QLD Fitness, Sport and Recreation Industry, to help fast track the return to physical activity for both stage 2 (now) and stage 3 (July). It is highly recommended that businesses, organisations and clubs take advantage of this training, to ensure they are ready to return to operation.
The free e-Learning course covers important information such as COVID Safety Officer training and the Queensland Government’s Return to Play guide.
Your organisation or club can become COVID-safe ready and ensure best practice community health and hygiene is in place as COVID restrictions ease.
This training is for volunteers, officials, administrators, staff and operators of community sports clubs, outdoor and active recreation organisations, fitness centres, personal trainers and others in the active industry. It is essential that all organisations and clubs comply with their approved Industry COVID Safe Plan.
This free training will help get you ready COVID-safe ready ahead of the return of your participants, volunteers, spectators, and staff. The Return to Play: COVID Safety Officer e-Learning training covers:
