Congratulations to all the teams that participated with special mention to the following teams that have qualified for the Australian National Championships for their Division of play:

Senior League – Gold Coast Cougars

Junior League – Brisbane North

Intermediate League – Brisbane Metro

Little League Division 1 – Brisbane North and Brisbane Metro

Little League Division 2 – Brisbane North Vikings and Brisbane Metro Red

Thank you to the parents and supporters that attended the Tournament over the weekend to support the 53 teams that participated from Rookie Ball to Big League. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Events such as this require qualified officials and we had more officials than ever before volunteer to support the event. Thank you to the Scorers, Umpires and Coaches that volunteered and helped make the event such a success. Thank you to Michelle Welch and Karen Jackson for their help in preparing GameChanger for the event and for supporting Scorers throughout the event. To the Umpire Coordinators Barry Foat, Mark Bramwell and David Everett, your experience and professionalism in supporting and guiding the biggest crew of Umpires gathered for a Baseball Queensland event is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Thank you also to Tournament Directors Jordon Thomson, Ricky Verdejo and Matt Glasson for their efforts in managing the schedule and identifying a Champion in each division despite weather conditions presenting some challenges.

It was a massive effort for our two host clubs Redcliffe Padres Baseball Club and Narangba Demons Baseball Club who delivered sensational facilities for teams to play on under some challenging wet weather conditions. Thank you to the grounds crews at both clubs, the volunteers in the canteen and on the barbecue and the club committee at each club for your wonderful support of this event. Thank you for all your work in delivering a successful event.

Thank you also must go to the event’s major supporters, the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council.

On behalf of the staff and Board of Management at Baseball Queensland I wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to make the event a success, and wish those teams progressing to National Championships all the best for a safe and enjoyable National Championship campaign.
