The 2020 Australian Little League calendar will start with Junior League in Adelaide and end with the Little League champion being crowned on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday in Lismore.
Baseball Australia has today confirmed the calendar for next year, which will see a rejig of the 2019 calendar with the Little League gold medal game on June 8 reinstated as the final game.
The Australian Junior League Championship will get the national Little League circuit underway from May 5-9 at West Beach in Adelaide’s western suburbs. It marks the fifth-straight year Adelaide has hosted the event.
The Australian Senior League Championship will be held in Lismore, NSW, for the the fifth time from May 17-21.
Mildura, in Victoria, will host the Australian Intermediate League Championship for a second-straight year with the event to be held in the earlier timeslot of May 26-30.
The move forward means the Australian Little League Championship in Lismore will close out the domestic calendar again.
Little League will start on June 4 with the champion to be crowned on the June 8 Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
All four champions will represent Australia Region at their respective World Series events in the US during August. Little League® Baseball announced dates for the four events last month. The Senior League World Series gets a month of baseball underway on August 1 with the Little League World Series championship game slated for August 30.
