We would like to re-assure the Baseball Queensland community that we are closely monitoring the updates regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) from the Queensland Department of Health, as well as Baseball Australia, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Sport Australia.
Presently there are no restrictions on events where large numbers of people congregate, but we are conscious of the need to monitor any developments with COVID-19 and will act in accordance with the advice from the relevant authorities.
Baseball Queensland will provide additional information to our members as it becomes available and to keeping our community updated on any disruptions to the delivery of regular programs or events, should they occur. The health and well-being of our participants is our highest priority, but it is important that people remain calm and act on the best health advice available.

Baseball Queensland and The Board of Directors have chosen to cancel the Queensland Masters for 2020 Due to under subscription of tournament entry.
It remains our plan to improve the promotion of these events, investigate the impact of perceived timing issues, review the budgets and offer these events again in 2021.
Refunds will be supplied for people who have registered as members for the tournament.

Baseball Queensland is proud to share the news that Ipswich Musketeers Baseball Club has opened a new batting cage facility.
CEO of Baseball Queensland, Mr. Paul Gonzalez, was joined by Hon. Jim Madden MP (representing the Minister for Sport, Mick de Brenni), Ipswich Musketeers President Mr. Jon Campbell and Mr. Andre Teuwsen for the opening of the new facility.
The batting cage features a fully covered indoor facility with two batting bays. Baseball Queensland would like to acknowledge the investment from the Queensland Government of $141,984 that helped secure the facility that now offers the Musketeers a premier training facility.
The facility also has the option of being utilised by the Ipswich Softball Association and potentially local cricket clubs making it a viable contribution to the wider sporting community.
“Baseball Queensland acknowledges the continued support from the Minister of Sport Mick de Brenni. The funds allocated genuinely assist Ipswich Musketeers and aligns with Baseball Queensland’s overall vision of building a better future for baseball” shared Baseball Queensland CEO, Mr. Paul Gonzalez.
The Queensland Government has invested more than $2.6 million to support baseball since 2015. This comes from the government’s holistic approach to encourage Queenslanders to be active regardless of location, age, gender, ability or background.
