Sessions run once per week for six weeks and can be scheduled during PE periods or immediately after school. Each session is 45 – 60 minutes, but has the flexibility to be adapted.
No. Baseball Queensland brings all equipment to each session and removes them afterward – no onsite storage required.
Female Baseball Queensland coaches and accredited Delivery Officers. All hold Blue Cards and ChildSafe Sport training.
Yes. Activities link directly to HPE outcomes ACPMP043–047, focusing on locomotor and objectcontrol skills, teamwork, strategy, and lifelong participation.
We use soft or reduced impact balls, clearly mark batting zones, conduct a presession safety briefing, and supply a risk assessment to the school in advance.
The program is fully funded by Baseball Queensland, so is run at no expense to participants or schools.
We ask for at least one teacher or sport aide onsite for duty of care and roll marking. Coaches handle all instruction, equipment setup, and pack down.
Absolutely. We can align with your existing girls sport calendar, run “come and try” days, and provide guidance on transitioning interested students into local clubs or regional teams.
Coaches adapt drills with lighter balls, shorter distances, or paired support, and consult learning support staff beforehand to ensure inclusive participation.
Each participant receives information on the next steps to continue their baseball journey through local club opportunities. Schools receive a brief program summary for their records.

A standard session runs 30 – 45 minutes, once per week for 4 consecutive weeks (adjustable to fit centre timetables).
A flat, open area – either a grassed yard, covered outdoor court, or indoor hall – about half a basketball court in size is ideal. We bring all equipment and can adapt activities for smaller spaces.
None. Baseball Queensland supplies childsafe foam bats, large soft balls, flat rubber bases, and visual aids. Centres only need to provide drinking water, sunscreen, and hats where required.
Qualified Delivery Officers – coaches who hold current Blue Cards (Working with Children) and have completed Baseball Queensland’s Child Safe Sport training.

Absolutely. Educators are encouraged to observe or assist; we’ll provide simple coaching cues so staff can reinforce skills during freeplay times.
Yes. Coaches adapt activities (e.g., lighter balls, shorter distances) and work with educators to ensure every child participates at their comfort level.
Initial 4 week program is fully funded by Baseball Queensland and completely free for the centre.

Children receive a “Rookie Certificate” and families receive information on nextstep programs (Buddy League, Teeball, or local club comeandtry days) to continue their baseball journey.
