Townsville we’re coming to you!

The 2026 season is just about to hit.

Join us as we celebrate all the things that make baseball in Townsville great. There will be the signature community feel, fun for the whole family, and of course some fierce competition.

Test your skills

Did you know… on average, a batter has roughly 4 seconds to reach first base after hitting the ball? That’s the amount of time it takes for the ball to reach a fielder and for them to pick it up and throw the runner out.

Fun for the whole family

8:00 am D1 – Skills and drills

9:30 am D1 – Test your skills to win a prize. Hardest throw, Fastest sprint, furthest hit, best catch.

10:00 D1 – U12s vs U14 Storm. The best of North Queensland’s Little League is preparing to take on the rest of the state later this month. Watch our NQ Storm representatives go toe-to-toe in their final preparations.

Food, Drinks and more

Alongside the incredible canteen, there will be food and coffee vans to keep you going all morning.

And that’s just the start!
The park will be buzzing all morning, with showcase games lighting up Field 1 while plenty of action happens around the grounds.

We’ll have Come & Try sessions, junior skill stations and mini games run by our fantastic Development Officers — plus prizes and giveaways throughout the day. There’ll be jumping castles, inflatables, music pumping, and plenty happening to keep the whole family entertained.

Grab some lunch, settle in and enjoy the showcase action on Field 1, or jump in and have a go yourself.

There’s absolutely no pressure to sign on — it’s simply a community day to celebrate baseball in Townsville and bring everyone together as we launch the season.
