Brisbane North Baseball are gearing up for the Lit Brisbane North Baseball are gearing up for the Little League National Championships, with the squad putting in the hard work ahead of June’s competition. 💪They will be joining Brisbane Metro Baseball in a campaign to represent the country at Williamsport.Head Coach Keith Land says State Titles was a turning point for the team.“After the State Titles the team realised the work and challenge we have ahead of ourselves.”The response from the group has been immediate, taking lessons from States into a competitive series against a visiting New Zealand team.“We came out the following weekend with a two-game series against a team from New Zealand and showed our potential by splitting the games with them.”Since then, preparations have stepped up another level.“We’ve upped our training, taking to the field three days a week and lifting our intensity. The boys are putting in the hard yards and hopefully that leads to success.”For Land, who brings a wealth of Little League Nationals experience, the focus is now on growth and belief.A seasoned veteran of this game, Land has been to Nationals seven times, twice winning the title to travel to Williamsport. While the challenge ahead is significant, the team is embracing it head-on.“The challenge is real. Are we ready? Only time will tell. Having a positive attitude is the first step — delivering is the next.”Good luck to Brisbane North as they prepare to represent Queensland on the national stage! 💥⚾
Baseball Queensland is proud to work alongside org Baseball Queensland is proud to work alongside organisations and communities that help create stronger connections through sport.During National Reconciliation Week, we recognise that reconciliation happens through relationships, respect and opportunities to come together. We are proud to support initiatives including NAIDOC celebrations, community sport and education programs, and partnerships with organisations such as the South West Indigenous Network. The theme All In reminds us that everyone has a role to play in creating positive and lasting change. It's not a spectator sport. It takes full team participation.Together, through the game of baseball, we can continue building a more inclusive future for our communities.#NRW2026 #AllIn #CommunityThroughSport
Congratulations to April's Coach of the Month, Aus Congratulations to April's Coach of the Month, Austin Butler Ledwith! 👏⚾Austin's commitment to developing young players and supporting baseball in Queensland has made a significant impact both at club and representative level.Throughout the season, Austin coached Mudgeeraba Little League Majors while also contributing to the Gold Coast Baseball Association Little League Major State Titles team, helping guide the group to a bronze medal finish. As one of the youngest coaches in the Queensland baseball community, Austin continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership, passion and dedication to the development of our athletes. His willingness to invest his time and energy into helping young players grow both on and off the field is a credit to himself, his club and the wider baseball community.Baseball Queensland congratulates Austin on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued contribution to the game.
