SUMMARY:2026 Little League National Championships
DESCRIPTION:Queensland’s Little League talent will take centre stage next month\, with Brisbane Metro and Brisbane North preparing to represent the state at the Little League National Championships in Blacktown\, New South Wales. \n📅 5–11 June📍 Blacktown📺 plus.baseball.com.au📖 Baseball Australia \nBoth teams earned their place at Nationals following strong performances at the Queensland State Titles\, and now turn their focus toward testing themselves against the best teams from across the country. \nBrisbane Metro Chasing the Next Step\nAfter claiming gold at the Queensland Championships\, Brisbane Metro head into Nationals with confidence\, excitement and a clear focus on continuous improvement. \nHead Coach Nathan Robertson said the team’s State Titles success was built on trust\, teamwork and composure under pressure. \n“We’re incredibly proud of the Brisbane Metro Little League team for winning gold at the QLD Championships and earning the opportunity to compete at Nationals.” \nRobertson said the squad has embraced the opportunity ahead while staying grounded in the fundamentals. \n“We’re sharpening the fundamentals and making sure the boys are confident in the way we want to play. Pitching\, defence\, baserunning\, communication and staying composed under pressure will all be important.” \nFor the players\, Nationals represents more than just another tournament. \n“It’s a chance for the players to represent Brisbane Metro\, their clubs\, their families and Baseball Queensland on a national stage. These are experiences young athletes remember for a long time.” \nWhile Nationals will bring stronger competition and unfamiliar opponents\, Robertson believes the key is staying composed and trusting the work already done. \n“Our job is to help the players stay relaxed\, trust their preparation and play one pitch at a time.” \nHis message to the team is simple: \n“Enjoy it\, compete hard and trust each other. You’ve earned this opportunity. Play brave and play together.” \nBrisbane North BACK FOR MORE\nBrisbane North head into this year’s Nationals carrying experience\, belief and the memories of an unforgettable 2025 campaign. \nLast year\, Brisbane North captured the Little League National Championship title before advancing to compete at the Little League World Series in Williamsport — an experience that continues to shape the program heading into 2026. \nHead Coach Keith Land said this year’s State Titles reinforced both the opportunity ahead and the work still required. \n“After the State Titles the team realised the work and challenge we have ahead of ourselves.” \nSince then\, the group has increased its training intensity and sought out strong competition to prepare for Nationals\, including a two-game series against a visiting New Zealand team. \n“We showed our potential by splitting the games with them.” \nPreparation has since intensified\, with the squad training together three times a week. \n“The boys are putting in the hard yards and hopefully that leads to success.” \nLand’s experience on the national and international stage brings valuable perspective to the campaign. Having guided teams through Nationals and all the way to Williamsport\, he understands what it takes to compete under pressure. \n“The challenge is real. Are we ready? Only time will tell. Having a positive attitude is the first step — delivering is the next.” \nBrisbane North now return to Nationals looking to build on the legacy of last year’s success while writing the next chapter of their Little League journey. \nQueensland on the National Stage\nWith Brisbane Metro bringing championship confidence and Brisbane North building momentum through hard work and preparation\, Queensland will head to Nationals strongly represented. \nFollow along with both teams and their campaign at baseball.com.au. \n

SUMMARY:2026 Senior League National Championships
DESCRIPTION:Gold Coast and Brisbane North Navy are preparing to take on the country’s best at the Senior League National Championships. Both teams are carrying the momentum and confidence gained through their impressive State Titles campaigns. \nWith two strong programs representing the state\, Queensland heads into the Senior League National Championships with belief and momentum. \nGold Coast bring championship form and confidence\, while Brisbane North Navy arrive with discipline\, cohesion and a strong foundation of fundamentals. \nDifferent journeys—one shared goal: a chance to represent Australia at the Senior League World Series in Easley\, South Carolina in August. \nThis year’s tournament will be hosted by Blacktown International Sportspark from 13-17 May. \nDiamond 1 will feature a full broadcast with commentary. It will be free to watch on Baseball+ via the app or plus.baseball.com.au. \nDiamond 2 and 4 will have single-camera feeds\, free to watch on GameChanger. \nFor more information on the tournament and how it will be run\, head to https://baseball.com.au/news/seniorleague \nHere’s how the teams are lining up. \n\nBrisbane North Navy: Built on Momentum and Discipline\nFor Brisbane North Navy\, the focus is simple—trust the process and lean into the fundamentals that got them here. \nHead Coach David West says the group is in a strong position heading into Nationals. \n“The team is feeling good after State Titles and we’re carrying plenty of momentum into the next stage.” \nPreparation has centred around consistency and execution\, with an emphasis on the core elements of the game. \n“It’s all about sticking to the basics: sharp defence\, strong pitching\, and staying disciplined at the plate. The squad has been putting in the work and are itching to test themselves against the best teams from around the country.” \nBeyond preparation\, there’s a clear excitement about the opportunity ahead. \n“We’re most excited about competing on the national stage — pulling on the jersey\, playing hard baseball\, and backing each other every inning.” \n With strong competition expected\, the message to players is grounded and clear. \n“Trust your training\, play for each other\, and enjoy every at-bat and every out.” \n And for the supporters back home\, the appreciation is front of mind. \n“Thanks for being right behind us. Your backing gives the boys a real lift\, and we’ll do our best to represent Queensland with pride.” \n\nGold Coast: Confidence Driving Championship Ambitions\nFresh off a State Titles victory\, Gold Coast head into Nationals with confidence and clear ambition. \nHead Coach Connar O’Gorman says the group is ready for the challenge. \n“Our team is feeling really good after State Titles\, full of confidence and ready to go for Nationals. Winning State Titles has done wonders for our group.” \nPreparation has mirrored their successful lead-in to States\, with a strong training routine underpinning their approach. \n“We’ve been working out three times a week\, making sure all our players are ready and have everything they need to be successful.” \nFor O’Gorman\, the excitement lies in both development and the unknown. \n“I’m really looking forward to seeing our athletes grow and continue to develop. Nationals is a great challenge — facing teams we don’t know a lot about and showing what Gold Coast baseball is made of.” \n While confidence is high\, the realities of tournament play remain front of mind. \n“There are always challenges — managing pitchers\, not knowing your opponents as well\, and playing the best from each state. But we’re ready for that.” \n The message to the team is built on simplicity and belief. \n“Keep doing what we do well. Play with confidence. Focus on the little things that helped us win State Titles. If we play loose and free\, we know we can be successful.” \n Like Brisbane North\, Gold Coast carry the support of their community with them. \n“Thank you for all the support. Our community has been amazing\, and we know everyone across Baseball Queensland will be cheering us on.” \nHosted at Blacktown International Sports Park in New South Wales.https://baseball.com.au/news/tournamentdates2026/
