SUMMARY:2026 Little League National Championships
DESCRIPTION:Queensland’s Little League talent will take centre stage next month\, with Brisbane Metro and Brisbane North preparing to represent the state at the Little League National Championships in Blacktown\, New South Wales. \n📅 5–11 June📍 Blacktown📺 plus.baseball.com.au📖 Baseball Australia \nBoth teams earned their place at Nationals following strong performances at the Queensland State Titles\, and now turn their focus toward testing themselves against the best teams from across the country. \nBrisbane Metro Chasing the Next Step\nAfter claiming gold at the Queensland Championships\, Brisbane Metro head into Nationals with confidence\, excitement and a clear focus on continuous improvement. \nHead Coach Nathan Robertson said the team’s State Titles success was built on trust\, teamwork and composure under pressure. \n“We’re incredibly proud of the Brisbane Metro Little League team for winning gold at the QLD Championships and earning the opportunity to compete at Nationals.” \nRobertson said the squad has embraced the opportunity ahead while staying grounded in the fundamentals. \n“We’re sharpening the fundamentals and making sure the boys are confident in the way we want to play. Pitching\, defence\, baserunning\, communication and staying composed under pressure will all be important.” \nFor the players\, Nationals represents more than just another tournament. \n“It’s a chance for the players to represent Brisbane Metro\, their clubs\, their families and Baseball Queensland on a national stage. These are experiences young athletes remember for a long time.” \nWhile Nationals will bring stronger competition and unfamiliar opponents\, Robertson believes the key is staying composed and trusting the work already done. \n“Our job is to help the players stay relaxed\, trust their preparation and play one pitch at a time.” \nHis message to the team is simple: \n“Enjoy it\, compete hard and trust each other. You’ve earned this opportunity. Play brave and play together.” \nBrisbane North BACK FOR MORE\nBrisbane North head into this year’s Nationals carrying experience\, belief and the memories of an unforgettable 2025 campaign. \nLast year\, Brisbane North captured the Little League National Championship title before advancing to compete at the Little League World Series in Williamsport — an experience that continues to shape the program heading into 2026. \nHead Coach Keith Land said this year’s State Titles reinforced both the opportunity ahead and the work still required. \n“After the State Titles the team realised the work and challenge we have ahead of ourselves.” \nSince then\, the group has increased its training intensity and sought out strong competition to prepare for Nationals\, including a two-game series against a visiting New Zealand team. \n“We showed our potential by splitting the games with them.” \nPreparation has since intensified\, with the squad training together three times a week. \n“The boys are putting in the hard yards and hopefully that leads to success.” \nLand’s experience on the national and international stage brings valuable perspective to the campaign. Having guided teams through Nationals and all the way to Williamsport\, he understands what it takes to compete under pressure. \n“The challenge is real. Are we ready? Only time will tell. Having a positive attitude is the first step — delivering is the next.” \nBrisbane North now return to Nationals looking to build on the legacy of last year’s success while writing the next chapter of their Little League journey. \nQueensland on the National Stage\nWith Brisbane Metro bringing championship confidence and Brisbane North building momentum through hard work and preparation\, Queensland will head to Nationals strongly represented. \nFollow along with both teams and their campaign at baseball.com.au. \n
