Bandits School of Baseball
School of Baseball Overview
The program is run over four weeks (four consecutive Wednesday’s for example) and is delivered by Brisbane Bandits players and coaches. The focus is on development of fundamental movement skills like two handed striking, over arm throwing and catching. Game Sense principles are applied to teach students the objectives and strategies of the game. The program is flexible and can be run at any time during school hours, during lunch breaks or after the school day. We can tailor the program structure to meet the needs of your school.
For just $50.00 per student, each student receives the four week School of Baseball program with specialist coaching as delivered by Bandits players and coaches at your school (ratio of 1 coach to every 10 students). Students also receive a Bandits School of Baseball program shirt and hat plus a children’s ticket to a Brisbane Bandits home game and a certificate to say you have all the skills to play the game of baseball. Each participant also goes into the draw to win an on-field experience with the players on game day – one winner drawn from every school that participates.
Baseball Queensland has developed links between the Bandits School of Baseball Program and the national school curriculum. This provides specific outcomes from the completion of the program allowing schools to satisfy syllabus requirements.
